Ian Munroe

Ian is an amateur photographer, analyst, and alumni of Robert Morris University.

Currently employed by Confluence as a Regulatory Reporting Data Analyst, it is Ian's job to help ensure client data is clean and orderly to report to regulators.

Formerly employed by the RMU's School of Business, Ian's goal was to improve their social media program and bring more awareness to their AACSB accredited program. This was accomplished through Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Blogs.

The Gallery features a selection of photos from my portfolio. An archive of select photos are stored on my Flickr page.

Me with Langston the Cat.

Born in Kansas, raised in New Orleans, refined in Germany, transplanted to Pittsburgh. That's what I tell people when they ask where I am from. I have moved 19 times in my life, I've been around the world, and let me tell you, nothing says home like the imperial system of measurement.

I graduated from Robert Morris University in 2015, I earned myself a shiny Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Sustainability in Business. Why sustainability? Cause I'd rather live in a 1 Earth scenario rather than the 1.5 Earth we're currently in or the 2 Earth version that we're heading for.

Before I cleaned myself up at RMU, I was in the United States Air Force for 6 years (2005 to 2011). I was stationed at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. It was a fun time, stressful most of the time, but I had a good group of people around me to keep me going. My job? 2A671(B), Aerospace Propulsion Craftsman, which is a fancy title for C-130 Hercules engine mechanic.

What am I doing now? Regulatory Reporting Data Analysis. It's fun, and kind of exciting. I enjoy the work, and I enjoy my coworkers.

Hobbies? Oh, um. I love taking photos, and I think I'm pretty good at it. If you're curious, check out my gallery or my Flickr page. I don't typically take photography jobs any more due to my current time restraints, but you never know what can come around the corner next. I also read a bit (typically before bed), and I can sometimes be found online playing a game or two on Xbox Live (my gamertag is Dorkboy32).

Don't be afraid to contact me, after all, what's the worse that could happen? I don't reply. The world won't end, I promise.
